FIRST QUARTER MOON DIGITAL RETREAT // AWAKENING

I am so excited to bring this gathering into the virtual space. More than ever in our lifetimes, we are truly in this together. Gathering together in community amplifies the power of our individual intentions, calling forth a reimagined future for our planet. I believe, deeply, that now is a time of great metamorphosis. We are still in the cocoon, and yet we see the natural world around us waking up and blossoming into new life. How do we honor this time of divine pause as an avenue to our awakening? How do we find peace in this dichotomy of energetic cues? We will explore these questions, and more, in depth through conversation, journaling, meditation, and yoga.

Lunar Living LIVE // Urban Retreat Series combines all the depth, radical connection, and sacred sisterhood of a retreat, with the accessibility and comfort of sleeping in your own bed. We will gather together each season to immerse ourselves in moon magic and align with the energy of the season using the lunar cycle as our guide. Spring New Moon Circle at shefayoga

Spring New Moon Circle at shefayoga

Spring is in full bloom, which means it’s time for a seasonal refresh and check in. Join me for this two-part workshop that combines Lunar Yoga and a Moon Circle to connect with the lunar cycle and embrace intentional sisterhood.

The New Moon is dark and receptive, a perfect time for new beginnings. Lunar Yoga during this phase is a restorative yin practice that takes you inward to plant seeds of intention for what you desire to manifest in your life.

A Moon Circle is an ancient tradition of women gathering on or around the New Moon to share stories, create ritual, and support one another through heart-centered community. This circle is an opportunity to find radical connection: connection to nature through the cycle of the moon, connection to one another in the spirit of empowered sisterhood, and connection to your inner self.

The circle will begin with a dharma talk to expand on the themes of the new moon, and may include journaling, guided visualization or meditation, breathwork, mantra, check-ins and sharing, ritual, and intention setting. Working with the lunar cycle invites you to bring more awareness and intention to the way you move through the world. As part of this sacred circle of women, you get to make abundance your default and cultivate more self-love, clarity, and connection every time you look up at the moon!

Cost: $30 includes a moon journal and a crystal

Lunar Yoga // Last Quarter Moon

THE CLASS
Lunar Yoga is a practice that ebbs and flows with the rhythm of the moon. Each class speaks to the themes of the current phase in the lunar cycle and how we can embody moon wisdom both on and off the mat.

The physical practice embodies the energy of the moon:
- New Moon practice is grounded and restorative, lots of props
- Waxing Moon gradually builds in energy and strength, slow flow
- Full Moon is a flowing mandala practice guided by breath
- Waning Moon releases energy, yin postures supported by props

Lunar Yoga is an invitation into the Rasa, or essence, of the moon- calming, organic, intuitive, connected to feeling and sensing and the innate wisdom of your body. Come as you are, all levels welcome.

THE LOGISTICS

Energetic exchange: virtual Lunar Yoga offerings are sliding scale, by donation. Suggested donation $5-$15 via Venmo @lunarasayoga. If cost is prohibitive for you, please send me an email at chelsea@lunarasayoga.com and I will send you the class link, no questions asked. <3

Classes are held in Zoom, which is free to download and use. Please sign up no later than 30 minutes before class (or message me directly) to receive the link for class. You will receive an email shortly before class begins with a link to join. If you are brand new to using Zoom, click the link a few minutes early and follow the prompts. It’s super quick and easy!

FAQs
Q: What do I need for class?
A: Ultimately, just you and a computer/mobile device! I also recommend a yoga mat, water, 2 blocks, a bolster and/or a couple blankets, and anything else that makes you comfortable and creates a sacred space for your practice.

Q: What if I don’t have yoga props at home?
A: Fret not! Most of you likely will not have yoga-specific props at home, but you can DIY with things you already DO have at home. If you don’t have blocks, you can use books, boxes, or anything appx. block sized. A couple blankets and pillows go a long way, especially for New Moon and Waning Moon classes. Fuzzy socks and eye pillows are extra lovely for those classes, too.

Q: What does it mean to create a sacred space for practice?
A: Simply creating an environment that supports your practice and brings you into the state of being that you’d like to set for your practice. This can be super simple, or you can take it as far as you’d like. Ideally, your space will be relatively quiet and free of distractions, with enough room for you to expand a leg’s distance out in all directions. You might include your journal or notebook, essential oils, a favorite crystal, candles or incense or sage (fire safety first!), an altar, a houseplant that makes you smile, whatever brings you into a state of joy and connection to your practice.

Remember: yogis are flexible! Work with what you have and know that it will work for you. Don’t let something like not having the “perfect” prop or the “perfect” space keep you from your practice. If you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to reach out. I truly LOVE talking about yoga and especially home practice; it is my honor to support you in your Yoga journey, on and off the mat!

Join us for an immersive experience to honor the Full Moon; a ritual to fill your cup and revel with us in moon magic. Give yourself the tools to stay nourished, connected, and vibrant in your fullness. Our intention for these Sessions is to lean into mystery and harness the cosmic power around us to (re)discover the infinite that resides within and without.

This radical connection is woven into each session with self-love and sensory attunement practices. We will start our session with a breathwork and intention setting ceremony to align our energies and create a clearing for our listening selves. Full Moon Lunar Yoga invites you to flow with the moon energy, followed by Yin yoga to restore your body, and an extended Savasana to ground all the wisdom gained deep in your body. Our practice will be accompanied by crystal singing bowls paired with aromatherapy and energy healing work. We will anchor in our learnings through a reflection circle, journal prompts, and an oracle card reading. Together, we will consciously explore our own expansive energies to understand the expansiveness of who we truly are. ABOUT US
There is cosmic power that resides in each of us if we hold sacred space to tap out of our worldly routines and tune into self and connection. Celestial Light Sessions are your invitation to shed old layers of doing, create space for your human BEING to listen and receive, and learn about the cosmic energy that guides and lives within each of us. Start the first of our winter months by harnessing the power of the Full Moon and rejuvenating your relationship with your inner teacher.

Celestial Light Sessions were brought into the world by three women--energy workers, healers, and yogis--who came together for a retreat on the Oregon Coast. The intention of our weekend together was to generate more powerful and bold means of creating the lives we seek, together. What we discovered is that there is a force of nature that lives within--an inner guide or teacher who knows exactly what you want and how to live in harmony--that often gets stifled by input, habit, and “should”ness. After an incredible weekend of giving and receiving in equal measure through workshops, energetic gifts, and empathic listening, we spent the entire trip driving North up the Pacific Coast mind-melding to create an experience that allows the humans in our community to tune in and understand their connection to cosmic energy.

New Moon Circle at Commune Yoga

(Re)connect to your self, your community, and your routines this fall. Join Chelsea Spicer for this two-part workshop that combines Lunar Yoga and a Moon Circle to sync with the lunar cycle and embrace intentional living.

The New Moon is dark and receptive, a perfect time for new beginnings. Lunar Yoga during this phase is a restorative practice that takes you inward to plant seeds of intention for what you desire to manifest in your life.

A Moon Circle is an ancient tradition of gathering on or around the New Moon to share stories, create ritual, and support one another through heart-centered community. This circle is an opportunity to find radical connection: connection to nature through the cycle of the moon, connection to one another, and connection to your inner self. The circle will begin with an introduction to the themes of this particular new moon, and may include journaling, guided visualization or meditation, breath work, mantra, check-ins and sharing, ritual, and intention setting.

Working with the lunar cycle invites you to bring more awareness and intention to the way you move through the world. As part of this sacred circle of sisters and brothers, you get to make abundance your default and cultivate more self-love, clarity, and connection every time you look up at the moon!

Investment: $40
